There are no words to explain the love these people give to young children in need. Their loyalty to patients and families is undoubtedly the best. Everyone strives to know what concerns and questions you might have for them, and will continually try to solve these. The child life specialist and anesthesiologists are great at bonding with the younger children and clearly elaborating what will happen with your child step by step. The child life specialist shows child friendly diagrams and pictures showing what's it like to be put to sleep as well as showing the anesthesia mask used often for children and the lipsmaker lip balm flavors you can choose to rub in the mask to block the scent of the gas. There is a comforting room awaiting the children as they get close to ready for anesthesia, making it peaceful and calm. Parents are allowed with, to ensure the child's feelings are comfortable when being put under. I've been going to Gillete's Children's of Minnetonka for 17 years, and my everlasting trust and faith towards the doctors and nurses is enternal. They've become my family and friends, and even though the experience may seem scary, people are there to comfort me and so many others in need. Everything from ear tubes to Botox injections for Cerebral Palsy, nobody in their right mind would skip the opportunity to allow their children the best possible medical experience. P.s. Lipsmacker lip balm flavor red raspberry is the way to go.

Do NOT send your kid here. We went through two consultations and were unable to see an actual doctor because Gillette only had nurse practitioners meet with patients and analyze results. After the NP pushed for drastic action for our one month old daughter, we found through research that we should wait longer. After here second visit, the NP again pushed for drastic action to correct a minor problem. Given the suggestions were not in line with medical research posted online, we got a second opinion from another hospital that had an actual doctor provide the testing and he concluded that our daughter was perfectly fine and healthy. We even did a follow-up and were re-assured that she was perfectly normal. Despite being told that a majority of our costs would be covered by insurance, we ended up owing over $1,000! What an unprofessional scam Gillette is running. Send your kids to UofM or another hospital in the area and not this disaster of an office.
