My family and I were recommended to have dinner at Giuseppe's by a few locals, and it did not disappoint. The waitstaff is excellent and recommended some very nice wines and dishes. The food was excellent- two of us got the Tagliatelle pasta dish and it was phenominal. We sat in the courtyard out back which made for a very memorable experience. Would definitely return!

This place is great! The wait staff is excellent. The atmosphere is lovely with a number of different eating locations. They have a wonderful patio and a special room for big groups. The atmosphere is lovely. Did I say that again? The atmosphere is lovely. The price for food is fairly reasonable. The menu is excellent.

The bread and especially the balsamic/garlic/olive oil spread is great, but otherwise I haven't found anything that I love to eat here. Don't get me wrong, it's good, I've just never been impressed by the lasagna, Nona's meatballs, tortellini Giuseppe, or the diavolo pizza that I've had. The building is very nice. They have a great, secluded outdoor seating area, large party room, nice bar, and are in a good location by the mission.

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife. I recently had to travel and while away, my wife decided to treat herself to a special evening out. We had always enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the previous location and have been excited to give Giuseppe's the change to shack out the kinks in their new digs. Unfortunately they have completely lost our trust. As I said, my wife was dinning along and was seated between two busy tables with several waiters coming and going, always being attentive to the other customers, but ignoring my wife. She did ask several times for help in ordering, but was ignores. Even having one waiter responding, "I'm to busy and only one person!" When she was finally served, the food was below the standards of even a few weeks previously, they can not be trusted to be consistent. A professional establishment such as Giuseppe's should demand only the best from its employees and this recent visit showed, that in fact they expect very little. My wife did complain to a manager about the service and meal. She was offered a slice of cake.... Many of the reviews I have read speak highly of this establishment, and many occasions we have also enjoyed our time together with friends and family. Maybe was a one-off, but if the owners strive for a 5 star review, then every night, everyone MUST have 5 STAR service!

I love Joe. We've been friends since 1986 when he was a Cal Poly Football player and Giuseppe's was his Senior project. He's worked hard his entire life and deserves the success he has built. My girlfriend and I went to the restaurant tonight around 5:30. Wasn't full and when we walked in the hostess's greeted us. I specifically said we wanted to sit on the patio. One smiled and the other said "of course" and we walked to the back without the hostess. We found a seat (2 of us) and several minutes passed before anyone approached us. The nice busboy brought us water and bread. After about 15 minutes the hostess who initially greeted us came over to reprimand us for sitting on the patio and informed us that in the future we needed to know that the patio is not open seating and we need to let them seat us. Not once, but twice she informed us that she would not "kick us out this time" but we needed to know for "future reference" they seat us on the patio. At first I thought "is this child speaking down to me as if I'm her subordinate"? WE ARE GROWN ASS BUSINESS WOMEN in this town, born and raised. My own children don't talk to me as if I'm some idiot needing direction on where to sit! Her voice was loud and clearly meant to be heard by everyone around us. In an effort to save her the embarrassment of opening a can of whoop ass on her, I simply asked if she had another party needing our table. Of course, she did not and this was an opportunity for her to exercise her authority as a HOSTESS....I grew up working in restaurants and today I am in the service industry. I would never have spoken to or attempted to humiliate someone 30 years my senior over a table for two nobody needed and I know Joe DiFronzo wouldn't either. It's too bad our current work force is this type of snot nosed brat with no training in basic human interaction. I give Joe and Giuseppe's a 5 star but the hostess needs a course in food and human service. She's the shorter one working October 22, 2017 at 5:30......
