The owners of this property were delightful, welcoming, and provided delicious meal options (with accommodations for food preferences/sensitivities) in the evenings at their family-run restaurant. The location was handy as a centrally located staging grounds for Glacier National Park access. The property owners are happy to offer insights in what to do in the area, based upon your personal preferences. The hotel room was comfortable, clean, and had all the basic amenities. After two days of tent camping, it was nice to have a warm, comfortable bed to sleep in, and this was especially welcome after running the Glacier Half Marathon. Important notes for planning purposes: 1.) Dinner at the restaurant was available during a short timeframe, so be sure to pay attention during check in if you wish to eat an evening meal there. 2.) Cellular reception is negligible, due to the relatively unpopulated area. For me, this was a blessing, and a large perk of the Glacier experience. Others may not enjoy the disconnect. 3.) The area is relatively remote compared to the towns at the park entrances, so prepare for any needs before arrival. 4.) The owners will send you a confirmation email when you make your reservation. Be sure to read it carefully so that you know what to expect. Check-in times are limited. 5.). Train tracks are directly behind the property, and trains run frequently. If you are a light sleeper, this could be a challenge.

You get what you pay for. Here is what's good about the place: (1) The 2 evening meals served are very good; Very clean; Owner gives good suggestions for side trips. The bad: Building prefab like a trailer; no hair dryer, NO PHONE SERVICE!!! Can only receive and answer emails - forget about using the internet, no ac and one night it was 91 degrees, located on busy road, railroad track directly behind building, not near anything, 20 miles from west entrance and over 20 to east glacier

Last week my wife and I, along with three other couples, pulled off the highway at this place seeking a little shade and something cold to drink. (three GW Trikes and a HD) It is a big paved parking lot. There were no cars in front of the motel, and only one vehicle in front of the cafe, which turned out to be closed. Two pickups pulling boats pulled barely off the highway onto the parking lot right behind us. I remarked to my companions that this looked like a neat little place to stay. We no sooner shut off the bikes than here comes a tall lanky fellow telling us he is closed and we can't stop on his parking lot! He ran the folks pulling the boats off too! Now I know why he didn't have any business and why he'll never get any of mine! By the way, I highly recommend the Grand Hotel in downtown Kalispell, MT, not to far from this fellow's little empty establishment. P.S. if you click on the pictures you can see the little spot of shade the owner refused to allow us to use.......and we would have left it there!

We found the motel and owners delightful. Extremely helpful with extensive knowledge of Glacier NP.

High priced. Wish we would have known about the no air conditioning in any of the rooms, before we booked. Train is about 25 feet behind the cabins and it literally runs all night and because there is no air conditioning in any of the cabins, you have to have the windows open, in order to breath. Couldn't open the blinds to let a little air in, because of the poorly placed outdoor lighting that has been put up. One of our rooms was ant infested also and I mean they were everywhere. Family meal was fun, over priced and all of our high priced steaks were cooked well beyond any resemblance of a medium or a mediumrare. This rustic getaway was our highest priced night on our 10 day trip and our least comfortable night to boot.
