Went here to watch the eclipse and stayed for four nights. The water level is quite low, but there is still plenty of water for sport and boating. Some of the campsites are more private than others so plan ahead and reserve a good space. There were cottonwoods shading the border of the lake which helped keep the heat down. Water and outhouses are easily accessible and plentiful, but the RV dump does get backed up if a lot of people are trying to leave.

Found this place on the google totality eclipse map and made my way here for the day. Amazing locale and well-maintained facilities. I was on the east side of the reservoir. Not too crowded - nice, remote camping spots. It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trek (both there and back - apologies again to the rancher and family whose driveway I accidentally drove through on my way home. Google maps may think there are roads in and out of the park that aren't in fact there - and "Private Road" actually means private…) I think I would've given this place a 5-star rating even if there hadn't been an eclipse! 1201.6

I don't know how these guys managed to make it through August 21st, 2017, but they did it! Thousands of people (including my group) travelled North for the eclipse. The park is very beautiful, with the lake being a prime spot for boating!

Great water, (when at proper level) with cliffs, coves, beaches and camping. Fantastic mountain bike trails. LONG drive to town for ice or provisions. Sadly have cut down 1200 trees in 2016-17 due to record water levels eroding tree roots posing danger of falling. Otherwise still a great place to come and recreate. Incredible sunsets. My group been coming ten years annually.

This is a great place to stay. The way to the campsites are not clearly marked. Also this park has sites with electricity but they are not clearly marked either. When you reserve a site the electric sites are not listed..
