Going at night is always the best time, there are no crowds or no personal training manager walking around consistently trying to get you to be their client at that time. The night staff who comes In at 10 or so could look and be way friendlier, and actually pay attention to customers instead of his Beats.

I like this gym, but don't love it. The light is out in the suana more often than not and the showers only have cold water. Everyone who works there is always friendly.

Terrible gym. Limited facilities, unprofessional account management, constant broke equipment. I have held a membership with various Golds Gyms across the country since I was 16. These people reported me to collections although I pay for the membership every month and attend 4-5 days a week. The last straw is when they kicked me out in the middle of my workout bc I was wearing jeans. Shame on me for trying to squeeze in a session between classes. I would recommend you look elsewhere for your fitness needs.

So, yeah y'all, these golds gyms are not what you think they are. Let me tell you...Last month, after being dropped off at the Golds Gym North location by my boyfriend, that blond dude behind the counter with long hair and tattoo freakin starred at me for a good minute, while doing my sit-ups and especially my dumbbell workouts. I wanted to inform that manager on duty -La;)ren- about it and was diverted into thinking he was just keeping me safe, but I didn't feel too safe. It happened twice and he had his nasty friends ask me out, so I stopped going there altogether. I eventually got to meet the owner of Golds gym over at the South location, and wanted to tell him, who coughed... if I would sign up with him immediately over at the Syrna location, I could have a private hot yoga class for an add on bonus with him and his co-worker (in private). I was told if I go to his Smyrna gym on the next scheduled session, that I could catch him on that offer and stay as long as I wanted to. I was concerned because I just don't know about all of that, so I asked if I could bring my boyfriend and then I was asked to leave and not return to any of his locations. I can't believe that people like this can get paid cornering and hustling innocent patrons near a university setting during blatant business hours. Very bad business and not gonna take this lucrative scammer dude by his word and neither should you. Regards, Jenny:S.

So I just read a review on here about "Starr." My experience was pretty similar. He was pretty aggressive in his methods of getting me to sign up for a personal training program... Reluctantly, I signed up.. However, while signing up he didn't inform me that I would be in "auto renewal" after my 6 months of training sessions were up.. So I ended up having to pay for another month that I never agreed to.. I had to call corporate to cancel and didn't get refunded on that 7th (unagreed to) month. I'd definitely try to avoid this guy and don't let him sell you anything.
