I was really in the mood for seafood so me and my cousin decided to check this place out. It was my first time there and had been recommended by friends. We were seated and our waitress was quick. We ordered a dozen oysters and I got a seafood combo with shrimp, Crab and crawfish and I added clams. The oysters were actually fresh, I'm usually hesitant about getting anything raw but my cousin really wanted them and they were good. Cleaned and served with hot sauce and horseradish, the brine and salt from the oyster brought me back to California on the pier. The seafood combo was also delicious. I had them make it with everything saucecajun,garlic butter etc. and hot. I definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a seafood boil, great for large groups but call ahead as they get busy for dinner.
The food was good. High quality, tasty food. I like the fact that the waiter checked on us frequently, refilled our drinks and so forth, as well as the fact that they gave us plastic bibs to use to prevent food splatter ruining our clothes, and wrapped up inside the bibs were plastic gloves so you didn't get your hands dirty from touching the food as well as an individual wipe to clean your hands off when you're done eating. This was the 3rd time I've eaten here and the food was great. Definitely going to be a returning customer. Kid-friendliness: They provide gloves, bibs and plenty of napkins to prevent a mess of a child's clothes. Parking: Parking is literally 5 ft from the building.
Spent 45 dollars for the boil with the lo water tail and shrimp and crab legs. Though it seem as though I only got 10 shrimp and 4 little crab legs and this 46 dollars almost $60 definitely was not worth it. ESPECIALLY this isn’t fresh catch from the sea!
This used to be my favorite place to go for seafood. The food wasn't flavourful, the service wasn't on point, the mango margarita which is one reason why it used to be my fav had to be sent back to be remade, It Came Back Tasting Worse! No so good food or service, service and the price tag was crazy expensive. Which would had not been a problem IF the food was delish!
I can not say enough about this place! Samy was our awesome server, she is super friendly! The food was fabulous!!! It was fresh and authentic! It's really hard to find good fresh seafood places in central Illinois so go there! The prices were good for fresh food. Highly recommended!
Oh I can’t express enough how great the experience was. From entering until we left the service was great. Our server Jeremy was excellent. The option “E” on the menu was so delicious…well prepared. Clam chowder soup was one of my favorite too. Too bad I don’t live here or I would happily return here to eat quite frequently. Keep up the good work guys…quality food with quality service!!!!
Oysters are not fresh. Regardless of the variety, they should smell sea-breezy and sweet. These smelled fishy and the taste was awful. They were shucked badly, punctured the meat of the oyster so the liquor wasn’t clear and the grit was left. It looked like they were Caper’s Blade, although the variety wasn’t listed. We should have asked, but slipped our mind. Capers blades should be sweet, with a slight salinity. These just taste like metallic garbage. Don’t bother ordering and it may even be dangerous to do so depending on how old these are…. Im sure there’s other items that are fine, it’s hard to mess up fried food. Perhaps the oysters were too niche an ask but oysters can be gotten very fresh even in the middle of the US because they will stay alive for awhile out of water.
The food was delicious! Medium size menu. Beautifully decorated inside. I really like how the seafood and vegetables were cooked sealed in a bag to lock in the flavors of everything. They provided a lobster bib and gloves to help you stay clean.
Food was incredible! Hot and fresh. Large portions.Food: 5/5
Delicious food. Lots of good options and great service. Will definitely be a favorite spot.Food: 5/5
