From the perspective of a Chinese exchange student,  this place is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in the town. Tasty to cry. With reasonable price.

The best Chinese food in Davis. Tonight we had beef chow fun with black bean sauce, chicken with plum sauce, wonton soup, and salt and chili pepper spare ribs, each of which was a cut above what you normally get. The place is rarely crowded, perhaps because of its plain appearance. The take-out menu is available for pickup or delivery and there is a lunch menu. I have been taking my family here for years and frequently get the excellent egg foo young. The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly, and the owner does the cooking himself. Many vegetarian options.

Food was what you'd expect from a Chinese place. Nothing special but nothing awful. It was very empty but the university was not in session. It was quite hot inside the restaurant.

Best Chinese food in town. This place is definitely underrated if you ask me. I think it's not very popular because of it's location.
