So this is a unfortunate review because we have used this business before and have recommended them to numerous people. Sadly this is now not the most reliable jeweler I would recommend. We have been waiting for 2+ weeks for a ring set that was supposed to be resized and fused together. Not to mention we have paid in full. We were told a week and now here it is 2+ weeks later and as I write this they are still not complete. We have been told tomorrow day after day after day. Apparently Forbes, is the only one there working and doing anything which is such poor management to only have one person at this store which does get a good amount of traffic. I know unexpected things come up and can cause delays but don't tell us a week then take 2. This is the first bad experience we have had with this company and it has left a bad taste in our mouths. I like to keep shopping local but when get the run around day after day its not okay. Whats worse is that it was the same excuse every time we called. We are supposed to pick our rings tomorrow 3/17/17 but we will see. Its unfortunate but they already have our money so shame on us. Just be-careful when you are given a timeline on your items to be worked on . Good luck future or return customers we will not be returning.

Every time I interact with Goodfellows Jewelers I have a great experience. Eric is constantly suggesting pieces that I might like for myself or a gift for a loved one. The help and advice is so valuable to me. I trust them and appreciate their advice. Every piece that I have purchased or had repaired from Goodfellows has been of high quality and have proven to withstand the test of time (and children). Thank you for being in the town and for being a part of the community. It is much appreciated and you are a valued as a small business for so many of us in the region.

I also wanted to say, this store will not not take your information and plug it into the computer for tracking on purchased Pandora items. I asked and they said they do not do that. I did let them know, I have purchased Pandora from many states and they did not let me leave without my information as this tracks for the warranty. This store is a bad rep. for the Pandora name!!

Like many others since the start of the Great Recession, over the past few years I have had to part with some of my cherished valuables. During that time I've dealt with jewelers of all kinds, all over New England. Unfortunately, almost always, I was treated like simply someone to make a quick buck on, getting insulting offers of pennies on the dollar for my cherished items. Luckily, I happened to walk into Goodfellows Fine Jewelers in downtown Barre, VT and met Eric Gentl, who was very friendly and treated me like a possible long-term client. Unlike the half-dozen other jewelers I talked to who started the conversation by pointing out any possible reason to lower what they will pay for my item, Eric commented it was a beautiful stone, which after having it appraised and knowing a fair amount about diamonds, I already knew. We were able to come to a fair price we both could feel great about, and I left the store knowing where I would not only be selling any more of my jewelery, but also the first place I would be going when I needed something for a lady. Thanks again Eric, and I'll definitely see you soon!
