Story

Goodman and Sons Jewelers, founded by Stanley Goodman and his wife, Lena, began its rich history in 1947. The first shop was at Fort Eustis, and focused mostly on watch work and jewelry repair. By the 1970s, the business had added a second location at Langley Air Force Base. In 1977, Stanley and family moved to Riverdale Plaza in Hampton, VA. It was here the Goodman and Sons legacy was born, and continued to grow. After Stanley’s passing in 2010, the business is now run by Lena and her three sons, Stuart, Eric and Ned. Goodman and Sons Jewelers is a premier jeweler for the Hampton Roads area. We offer two locations to serve the community, our Hampton location in Goodman Square, and our Williamsburg location in Monticello Marketplace. Goodman and Sons Jewelers stands for professionalism, trust, and honest business practices, all of which was instilled in the company by Stanley himself, so long ago.

Goodman and Son’s jewelers is a very well established business with fantastic customer service and a very knowledgeable staff. I have worked with the manager multiple times over the last 5 years and have always found her to be extremely warm,friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Goodman’s for your next jewelry purchase.

Goodman and Sons is truly the best jewelry store in this area.  The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.  Was shopping for Pandora and the young lady helping us was absolutely terrific.  Really knew the line and let us know about upcoming events.  You will not go wrong shopping at Goodman and Sons!

Shayna was the salesperson that helped my fiancee and I find her wedding band! Every time we came back she remembered exactly who we were and what we were looking at. She ordered rings like the styles we'd been looking at until we found the perfect guard for her ring. Definitely a friendly atmosphere with associates that work exceptionally hard to make sure you find exactly what you want!

Came in to have a charm put on my wife's Pandora bracelet. The salesperson, Danielle Settle, was extremely helpful with my questions about which charms would be available when, and even suggested a Valentine's Day charm which I also purchased. Goodman & Sons has been my jeweler for 40 years and they continue to provide a very satisfying shopping experience. First-class operation, Stuart!

Everything about this family-owned jewelry store is incredible.  I went and just for an appraisal and walked out a lifetime customer. Unlike any other jewelry store in the area or that I’ve been to, they have the inventory of big-name commercial competitors but the customer service of a boutique mom and Pop.  They you have flexibility in their pricing, estate sale options, brand equity and selections. I was so impressed with everyone who I spoke with, even the owner offered a greeting and chat.  I’ve traveled a lot and even then in jewelry sales myself, but never experienced this kind of personal care and genuine service with a smile.  I purchased a beautiful necklace for less than $200 and on a separate occasion a small Alex and ani bracelet, Yet was treated like a long-time customer who purchased a diamond lot. :) I will definitely be back, and recommend Goodman & Sons to anyone considering a jewelry purchase - big, small, or uniquely customized!! They do it all. Rebecca is a skilled and lovely certified appraiser as well!!
