Wow, I called Goodwill to donate an entire room full of furniture, books, clothing, etc. and when I asked if they could come on a Friday or Saturday, I was immediately told, "Sorry, we won't be in your area that day." - Incredible, since the person did not ever ask my location. Why not just say, "I am lazy and have no desire to schedule a pick-up, as this would require me to do some work." - I called another local charity who was more than happy to send a truck for my donations. They also let me know they are actually non-profit, where as Goodwill is for-profit.

I really love Goodwill!! Not only is it a great place to work, it's a great place to shop, because 87 cents of every dollars worth of merchandise sold at the stores goes into goodwill programs for helping the disabled find training and get back to work. Goodwill Rocks in my book!
