A family member had a birthday gathering for about 30+ people last Tuesday evening. We had a section of the restaurant by the windows for guests to come and go and eat/drink or not as they wished. Our server was Andy and he was awesome! He never got flustered with orders as people changed around the place, moving tables, etc. While our orders took a little bit at times, Andy made it all ok. If he didn't know an answer to a question about an item, he'd go find out for us. Restaurant and food were fine overall, though I sure wish they had a few vegan options (or ability to adjust a few of the vegetarian ones to vegan.) My vegan daughter was able to get a house salad and fries for her meal as the veggie burger had egg whites.  Meals are on the larger side so you can share.

My husband took several out-of-town clients out in a limousine to see the sites in Kansas City and to have dinner. He booked a private room a week in advance then he called to confirm the room the morning of the event. (For a party of 23) When they arrived they were told the room was taken and they had to put tables together to accommodate the large group. (alongside another very large group making it very crammed) Just FYI for anyone trying to entertain important clients. Do not take them here. He wasn't even offered a discount or a coupon for the embarrassing mistake after having spent over $700. My husband is too nice to add a review so I'm doing it for him . I always read reviews and find the information handy to avoid things like this when spending a lot of money.

I work near this location and live near the Leawood location. The service at the downtown location is almost always terrible without fail- even if you're picking up lunch to go. I have gotten the wrong food, called to let them know that and gotten no resolution. Just "I'm sorry they must have read it wrong." Click. Also if you get the right food they will forget part of it- like the ice cream in your dessert. The beer is great. Just go to the Leawood location instead to have it and you'll save yourself some stress. There are tons of other great places at Power and Light. I'd pass this one up.

Had delish fish and chips. Perfectly breaded and fried. Served with garlic fries, which are the bomb-diggity, and a very good slaw. Would order again, but so many things on the menu I want to try. Had the Hero's Ale, perfect complement. Great service from Sara.
