Nice place for BBQ.  I had the burnt ends and it was delicious.  Each meal comes with 2 sides and cornbread.  I had the beans and mashed potatoes.  I loved the potatoes but the beans were bland, I added some of the bbq sauce on the table and they tasted better.  The lemonade was great, drinks are brought in large mason jars.  Other plates we ordered were the 1/2 chicken with coleslaw which was delicious and the beans.  Chicken was moist and very tasty.  Other meal was pulled pork and Ribs with beans and Mac and cheese that was also bland, needed more seasoning.   We wanted to try the sweet potato pie and the rib tips but they were sold out.  I would stop by if I was in the Vallejo area and wanted BBQ.   Good amount of food for the price.

Edited the original review:  We did give this place a try again and I'm increasing my review from 1 star to 3 stars.  I had the chicken and ribs and the ribs were cooked to perfection, but the white meat chicken was overcooked and dry, but the dark meat was perfect.  The mashed potatoes and gravy was cold.  But the food was very reasonably priced!  Our server wasn't very friendly but we couldn't tell if it was just their personality or if it was because they were super busy.  I will go back to this place.  You could easily have a decent dinner for two people here for around $50.  ......... Showed up to this place to have dinner, the guy at the door was very short with us when we told him we were dining in.  They were no longer seating anyone, which wasn't a big deal, but don't be mean about it.  The food smelled amazing though, and I will give them another try. So while this review is currently only one star I will change it if the next visit is better

Can you say “DELICIOSO” with me? OMG! This place is pretty delicious! 1st time here, had no idea what was good and popular but I got a platter of each: Ribs/chicken, Ribs/hotlink & brisket/chicken. Sides: cheesy mac, coleslaw, mashed with gravy and potato salad. Also, 1 gallon Sweet tea! Each platter came with a good size corn sweet bread and we also took dessert: Sweet potato pie, apple and lemon! WE DEVOURED this pretty fast! FINGER LICKING DELICIOUS!  You MUST! Thank you   OH! BTW: Being a wednesday, it was nice and busy for them HOWEVER, I was greeted right away as I walked in and was able to place TO GO order right away. Wait time was good 15-20mins as they had orders coming in and dinning in. Service from in to out was friendly, professional and fast    GRACIAS

Great BBQ! The Cheesy Mac was okay, the Pesto Pasta was great. Our initial order of Mash & gravy was cold but the 2nd hot one was great. Sweet and swamp juice were both tasty.

Great barbecue! Huge portions! A very casual and friendly atmosphere Indoor and outdoor seating available. My man and I enjoyed a huge sampler platter just loaded with a selection of all of their dishes. For only $39. That included salads. A casual rustic ambiance.

Delicious bbq and sides love the little extras too like a surprise to try and the watermelon. Plus great ambiance.

I actually came to town for church services and another restaurant, but neither of them were open, and I smelled the smoky aroma so I decided to give it a try.  So glad I did! I  got the Burnt Ends dinner, OMG the meat was so tender and full of a sweet savory flavor! I coupled it with coleslaw, macaroni, and potato salad with a cornbread muffin,  washed it down with their own lemonade, finished with the banana pudding my least favorite item and I had a great server!  Give this place a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

The food was amazing. If you get the brisket, do yourself a favor and skip the sauce. Not that the sauce isn't good, the brisket is just so good that it should be sacrilege to cover it in bbq sauce. The ribs and corn bread were also delicious. The waitress was extremely kind. The outdoor seating is beautiful.

I hadn't been here for years and I am so glad we went for ribs! At first I was upset that there was no sauce on my ribs it came on the side but then I tasted them and realize they don't need sauce!  The smoked meat is tender and delicious as it is!

Everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very calm and nice. Definitely coming here again , a 9/10 on my part. We got the family combo which comes with chicken, baby ribs, corn bread, and two sides we got the potato salad and Mac and cheese and lemonade.
