I have been shopping King Street since the 1960's ,The Old Karl Karish & Jack Krawcheck Day's---Anyway Saint Patrick's Day my sister in law and myself were out buying accessories for my daughters up coming Wedding , Had spent several thousand dollars with Taylor and Colin @ DUMAS I was referred across the street to Grady Ervin for some Duck feather ties ( 12 to be exact and some cuff links to match ) .As we walked in I actually had to ask someone for help in which he answered my question and then walked away. I failed to mention my sister in law Retired Master Sargent 27 YEARS U.S. NAVY was wearing a knit cap ( Stage 2 Breast Cancer ) apparently made us look as if we did not belong. I started my shopping by trying on a pair of white Bucks that I noticed in the window. I was told where to sit after they moved a Pile of coats from The Large over stuffed Leather chair to the left while the other chair was being used by a salesman to relax while my Cancer Patient Sister in Law was left looking at him and the dog. As I was walking in the 1 shoe I was given to try on I attempted to get the attention of what appeared to be a Mgr / Owner but he was to engaged in a phone conversation about his dock or some flooring , something Important . Anyway The service and ARROGANCE was unbelievable . I purchased the Bucks only because I needed them. Would not spend another Dime in that country club , Not while you have true Sales and Service people , Tim Shaw , Taylor Eubanks , Colin Richardson , The Berlins , List is to long to have to BE SOMEONE SPECIAL just to spend your money.

Came in at 4:30 on a Saturday for a quick need, the gave great advice, had some collage football on while i waited. Brought my slacks upstairs and had the tailor take care of them in 15 minutes. Excellent store, great clothes.

100% recommend Grady Ervin. Great men's clothes and a great place for gifts. I have gotten every male in my family a gift from there. High end clothes with a kind, knowledgeable staff!

Charleston is fortunate to have many fine men's stores. In my opinion, Grady Ervin is the best. Both in term of the clothing they offer and in turn of their service. I read with with a sense of amusement Phil Swaim's one star review given because the store was no longer open at 7 pm. He apparently prefers Belk because it has better hours. One thing I can say is that you certainly can tell the difference between a man clothed at Grady Ervin and a man clothed at Belk. I choose to be clothed at Grady Ervin. I can make its hours work.
