I was having a great day until walking into this office. No greeting. No smile. Didn't even look at me or let me know she was getting ready to snap my picture. If I could rate zero stars, I would. You should not take a job serving others if you are going to act like they are a burden to you. No one forced you to take the job. Wasn't expecting to get pampered or entertained but a simple Good Morning or Have a Nice Day would have been nice. Very unpleasant experience.

THIS OFFICE IS CLOSED PERMANENTLY!!! No one bothered to make the update online. If you drive up you will see some signs on their windows.

No idea why the others are complaining. I was in and out in about 2 hours to renew my license. I watched while waiting and yes, the place is small but how is that the employees fault? You want to complain about it, call the DPS, don't complain on here. While watching there wasn't anything really negative from the employees to anyone (I'm a 40ish white guy). What I saw was people not bringing in the correct documents and then getting mad at the employees. Once again, use your brains people...they are just doing what they are told. Remember, all of this is being done to make the U.S. a safer place...the Dept of Homeland Security is the one making the states require all the proof of citizenship, etc.

i think this building is shut down. theres no signs. just dps parking only yet i seen people go up ro the door and leave.

This is not the office to renew your vehicle registration. Go to the tax office at 106 W. Church St., Grand Prairie. The two star rating simply indicates that the physical condition of this office was satisfactory; the interior was clean, organized, and the lights were on. From the moment that the front door was unlocked, the clerk began making condescending comments. She seemed to be under the impression that the quiet line of people huddled in the cold were clamoring over and scratching one another to get in... Her behavior may have been appropriate if she was a guard at a juvenile detention facility, instead of a public servant for a group of calm and orderly adults taking time off work to wait in line and pay fees. Like me, the first person had been informed that this was a DMV and came to do a road test. Exasperated for no apparent reason, she waved them away saying, "you've just wasted ten minutes of everyone's time." If you need any face-to-face service at the DPT, keep you dignity intact and drive the extra 10-15 to a different office.
