This place is simply wonderful. The employees are all very kind, very knowledgeable, and an absolute joy to work with. Last time I purchased with them, I had a conversation with a few of the employees about how I was also looking for a particular, and somewhat uncommon type of gun. They wrote down my number, and the model, and said they would give me a call if they ever got one in stock. Typically, this is where the story ends with most stores, however, I got a call about 3 weeks later to inform me they had it in stock! The customer service here goes above and beyond! Additionally, I find their prices to be very fair, and their selection to be diverse. I honestly recommend this place to anyone who asks.

I believe in shopping locally. I've been doing business with Rod for 10 years or more and have NEVER had a bad experience. I've recently purchased some guns from them and their service and support was fantastic. The staff are great. It's nice to go somewhere where people call you by name.

I recently did some  business with them and as  always the guys and gals at Grandpa's were great. So much so that they waited for at least 20 mins after they closed for my background check to complete so that I didn't have to drive 2 hrs + the next day. Most places would have said "sorry" or more likely wouldn't even have helped me at all given that I got there about 15 mins before they closed. I find some of the other reviews surprising to the point of disbelief. I can say that I've read other reviews left by those who posted negative feedback and SURPRISE! They were mostly negative reviews.  Grandpa's,  keep do'in what what you're do'in.

Such a fun place.  Lots of crazy different items, the staff is very helpful.  Only negative is the overwhelming smell of mildew.

I am the owner of Grandpa's Pawn and Gun. I am writing this reply to the negative reviews since I can not reply to the individuals themselves.  

Michael Byrd... it is not our fault you were denied for your firearm purchase. We give you the paperwork to file a rebuttal with CBI. When we do the layaway we stamp the back of the layaway slip "No refunds, No exchanges" and when your balance is due by...you initial that stamp. As a rule, if you no longer want the item you put on layaway we give you store credit or refund you all but 20% and use that as a restocking fee. That's how it works.

Stephen Lamorie...I'm not even going to begin to detail the manner in which you present yourself. Your review was not true at all. We make sure we do not use bad language around customers. 

Finally, Kevin Williams...You have no idea what your talking about. We beat Cabela's and most other "Big Box Stores" by $100-$200 on most of our firearms. We are a small family owned business. The reason why you can sometimes get a good deal at a big box store is because they can buy large quantities of firearms and they get a discount and sometimes even free ones. We do not have that luxury. Your comment about returns, we offer a 2 day return on items. It says so on the bottom of our receipt. We are not Wal-mart... we will not take something back unless you have a receipt. Plain and Simple. Now for your comment about broken firearms...In the event your firearm is broken or defective we have two full time, school trained and qualified gunsmiths along with a 9 year United States Marine as our employees. These gentleman have been around and have used firearms their entire lives. Trust us, we inspect our firearms and we can fix them if you break them. The manufactures also have lifetime warranties on their firearms as well unless the firearm manufacture is no longer in business then we can step in and fix that firearm. Mr. Williams, you came into our store as a first time gun buyer wanting the "cheapest" gun we had. I spent two to two and a half hours with you. After showing you 50-60 guns and educating you on gun safety, conceal carry classes, proper ammunition, gun laws, carry laws you left a happy customer. Several days later you called on the phone demanding your money back because you found the same gun somewhere else cheaper. You never said it was broken and you probably did not even fire the firearm yet. We are the second highest volume gun dealer in the sate for a reason. This time of the year we have 3,500-4,000 customers a week  shopping here. We've stood the test of time too...27 years in retail in Longmont, Colorado. The bottom line is come into our store and check us out for yourself. I promise you will have a good time.
