Story

"Skip the coffee chain and head for Grape Juice, a gem of a restaurant off the city’s main street, which is currently being redeveloped. Original art adorns the walls in a loft-like space that is conceptually divided into three parts. It has a wine store, a large bar with about 20 beers on tap (including a rotation of local brews), and a restaurant, where you can eat antelope sliders or quail tacos. Patrick Wilt, the owner, sources wines from all over the world, but he respects the locavore movement by selecting ingredients from Broken Arrow Ranch and Diamond H Ranch, two farms located in nearby Ingram and Bandera respectively." -September 2011 Texas Monthly and NY Times Texas Edition

The food is great! The atmosphere is very modern. The menu rotates old dishes out with new to keep the experience unique each time you visit. The drinks on tap change too, bringing in flavorful new brews from local businesses. The staff are friendly, and even when my order was done wrong, they corrected it immediately and put it on the house. Great place!

There are not enough stars to communicate how special this place is. First I will talk about the atmosphere when you first walk in, unassuming and quaint aesthetics as you are greeted by the staff. Don't come to this place just expecting to just eat dinner or drink wine or beer. Allow them to give you the experience. Shaun our waiter/host/amazingly talented human is friendly engaging and knowledgeable. He was attentive and tended to our every need. Not only did we talk about the beers and the wine he talked to us about the history behind some of the menu items and the restaurant itself. We were absolutely floored at the quality of the food and beverages which honestly have to keep up with the amazing attention to customer care. If you don't come here you are missing out on something extremely special. Could keep typing but I have more food to eat!

Fun discovery! Great atmosphere and food. Had the pulled pork and chicken sandwiches which were delicious. Smart draft selection. Cream brulee for dessert! Watch out though, our waiter Robert tried upselling us on every turn. The most pushy waiter I believe I've ever had.

Wow. This comfy joint is a dining and drinking oasis in beautiful small town Texas. Super eclectic, Texas centric, generous wine selection, 35+ craft beers (growlers available!) anchored by a compact, tasty and equally Texas eclectic menu. We eat here every year when we drop in for family reunion and just keeps getting better. Small joint, but plenty of deck seating...love this place.

A great place. They already have plenty of great reviews and they have said it better than I could. One of the best places to eat and drink in Kerrville.
