Tried to get a hard part for the first time and the stylist clearly didn't know how to do that, but decided to give it a try anyway.

Looks like it's the same woman that people keep complaining about in the reviews. Why does she still have a job?

Would recommend cutting your own hair before going here.

This is definitely a great place to get a haircut! The service is great! No matter which person you have cut your hair, you're going to get a great haircut.

You'll typically either get a person who isn't fast nor slow but who does a GREAT job cutting your hair, a person that goes fast but still does a great job cutting your hair, a person that goes a medium pace that does a good job cutting hair but that seems to know just what you want afterwards, or other.

I'm not sure why people are complaining. I understand some people are picky about their hair. However, there's no reason to be so harsh.

My experience today was definitely not the best. It was the first time I had been there. I went in and asked for a trim and some layers. The lady (kinda short, around 5'3, short red hair) came and sat me down in her chair and immediately said "wow. Is this breakage or a bad haircut??" Then later made an extremely inappropriate comment about a client who had just asked out the young lady that had cut his hair, she said "he's probably going to go home and commit suicide now that you said no" Loud enough for the whole salon to hear. When she cut my hair she didn't seem to know what she was doing at all. She seemed to be just chopping at it then sent me on my way. This is the worst hair cut I've ever gotten, my hair looks like crap and I'm going to have to go find someone else to fix my hair.  I won't be going back.

Worst experience ever! The older lady with shorter red hair made me feel so uncomfortable!  I had pretty long hair and I knew it was damaged already. When I showed her a picture of the long bob I wanted she kind of hesitated, like she didn't know how to do it! Then all she could do was complain about how Fried and cooked my hair was nonstop where everyone could hear! I wouldn't recommend anyone here ever! Seems like more of a Barbour shop to me! So rude!

I know that feeling that you have, reading reviews on random salons without a clue which direction to go. I too had that same feeling and went out on a limb to try out Great Clips on University. My hairstylist, Becki, who is also the manager there, was outstanding. She was so kind and made sure that every move she made was okay and had my consent. I ended up getting 9'' off and was nervous as anything! I left feeling very pleased! Also, as a college student, money well spent! There are 3 gens of cosmetologist in my family and I will safely say that the salon and staff were great!
