Well, this should be obvious, but if you want a quality haircut... don’t go to Great Clips. I have a pixie cut and strongly advise all girls with pixies to run far away from this place. 

I decided to go because this Great Clips seemed to have good reviews, but it was a mistake. Here are the reasons why:

1. I showed the stylist several pictures of what I wanted. These were pictures of me with a previous haircut, not unrealistic pictures of models with different hair than mine. So I expected the haircut to be within the ballpark of my previous haircut. It was not anywhere close.

2. I told her specifically that the one thing you can’t do with my bangs are to cut them straight across. She literally took all of my bangs into her hand at the same time and lopped them off straight across, wayyy (waywayway) shorter than what I asked for. She then started thinning them and tried to give them texture, which is what all stylists do after they mess up my bangs, and now they are a pretty bad mess. They are a jagged, uneven line across my head.   

3. She trimmed around my ears with a gigantic razor and messed up. Now there is a flat line above one of my ears. It’s pretty obvious. I’ve never had a stylist trim around the top of my ears with anything but scissors, and that is probably why. 

4. She cut my hair unnervingly fast. I did not feel like she was trying to be careful at all. With all the mistakes she made, I’m pretty sure that was an accurate feeling. 

5. There are lots of other, littler mistakes throughout my hair, including around my bangs and the little bits of hair before my ears. It’s just a low-quality cut overall. 

It was obvious that she wasn’t listening to what I was saying, did not understand pixie cuts, and did not understand different types of hair. I don’t know why I expected anything different... No more Great Clips for me!

Why pay crazy salon prices when you can get a super cute haircut for less than $20 at Great Clips? Plus, being able to check in online saves so much time! You can see if there's a wait time and decide when to go. And of course they save your haircut preferences in the system so you don't need to remember exactly how they did it last time.

It was good, the person I got was new I believe, but they were very good with getting help from someone more experienced instead of just messing it up. Overall good haircut for good price
