Story

Since childhood, Garrett has had a love for exercise and sports. Because of his desire to be fit, he decided to pursue a degree in kinesiology. In 2004, Garrett earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Kinesiology from Longwood University. From there he went on to train at ACAC (the 7th best fitness club in the country). Here, he learned from some of the best physical therapists and personal trainers around. He also received his certification with National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) while at ACAC. Garrett has spent the last 5 years training and is now the owner and sole trainer of Green Fitness.
In addition to personal training, Garrett also teaches tennis to all ages. Garrett was a four year starter at Longwood University where he played singles and doubles. He also helped design the team's conditioning workouts. He has since used this knowledge on some of the brightest up and coming tennis players in the Fredericksburg area.
Garrett is also certified by the Chek Institute in stability ball exercises. With this special certification, he has been able to help many people recovering from a stroke or a spinal cord injuries. These exercises came in handy when Garrett needed to rehab himself after a low back injury that caused him to need surgery. This gives him a unique understanding of what you may be going through.
