Story

The Yoga Foundation of Fredericksburg is the premier wellness studio of Fredericksburg offering yoga and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. As a 501c3, we offer energetic fee-based classes and also use your additional donations to subsidize free classes for at-risk youth and their caregivers, creating peace and acceptance one pose at a time. YOFO’s goal is to create an atmosphere that is abundant in acceptance and inclusiveness. This acceptance is to promote a safe space where all are welcome to a peaceful practice and peace of mind. YOFO values the members of our community regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, financial status, and age. We strive to be an example of equality and fairness in our studio and throughout our outreach in the Fredericksburg community. To contribute to the success of this mission, we ask that all staff, students, and community members take responsibility in implementing our values of inclusion and kindness to all.

Our studio offers a mix of regular and heated yoga classes six days a week, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and a free meditation session on Saturday evenings from 5-6. For yoga classes, bring your mat, water, and a towel or blanket–though no worries if you forget or don’t have any of these as we have plenty of extras. Reservations can be made online, but drop-ins are always welcome as well. Try to arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow yourself enough time to get settled in the class. Most classes are one hour.
