I don't care what the 'nay' sayers say this is one helluva great place for the kids! There are lots of animals to see for a zoo of its size - you'll be impressed! The playground is big too, and the kids loved the zip line and giant "rope-climbing-structures". They also have a splash pad area to cool off in. All in all, it is a very clean place and well organized. And lunch can be bought or brought, which is nice. Very reasonable price-wise too. We have been multiple times now and enjoy it just as much as the first time we went! Must see spot in SW Ontario!

I visited this zoo about 11 years ago when I was 15 years old and it was my first time at a zoo. I remember being excited to see the Tigers and lions. I will never forget the overwhelming sadness when I saw the conditions the cats were living in. All the animals. It broke my heart. A LOT of them with no shade, confined spaces, dirty filthy cages, and no water in sight. That day I knew I could never walk into a zoo again and support such a terrible industry. I feel really bad for parents who believe this is a great place for kids. So you want to teach your kids it's okay to put wild animals in small cages to pace back and forth going crazy?! How is that even child friendly is beyond me. It's enough to make me sick.

Reasonable admission. Clean park and play areas. I'm not an expert on the subject but in my opinion, the "zoo" area left me feeling guilty for supporting this business. The larger animals were in areas which are half the size of my backyard. We visited Greenview Aviaries during one of the hottest days of the summer, there was barely any shade and the animals looked miserable. The monkey cages were tiny one of the larger cats paced back and forth in his cage which I'm sure is a sign of anxiety or stress . Our kids lost interest quickly. Most zoos will provide information or facts about the animals. The hand written name plates looked cheap and it was difficult to keep the kids engaged. If your looking for something fun to do with kids I would suggest Storybook Gardens. Bigger splash pad, more attractions for kids and better for your conscience.

Good place for kids but the animals sould have bigger areas if they are gonna be kept in captivity.

I could not stand to see such large cats in such a small space where the only thing they could do was sleep on a big wood spool left over from the electric company. The smell on a hot summer day was a little overwhelming. The monkeys were kept in a cage that should have been three times higher so they could swing and have fun. We wanted to check it out before bringing out of town quests to the place. We will not go back! The houses from Shakespeare times in miniature we sadly lacking in upkeep and were falling to pieces due to weather and time. It has so much potential but lots needs to be done to make it a real draw. We wanted to make the decision for ourselves about the place and not base it upon people who love it and those who did not. Best part of the day was stopping in Blenheim at the golf course for something to eat on the way back to Windsor.
