Nice facilities. Wish they had a courtesy car :)

6D6 The worst airport and service I have experienced in my 15 years of flying all over the country. I highly recommend you avoid this airport unless you have a dire need to visit Greenville, MI. No courtesy car, no food service, no taxi service to the airport and a very unhelpful person working the counter. At the time we stop the 100LL pump was broken, and we had to hitch hike into town to get fuel. The lady working at the airport could have cared less about us, and made no offer to help in anyway.

Not sure what the problem was with the other guy. I've been flying into Greenville since the early 90's. There have been a few hiccups over the years with previous FBOs, but the new one seems to be just fine. There is no line crew to fill your tanks, but the pumps are usually ready to go. I know they are getting a self-serve credit card machine soon (if not already). The same chief mechanic has been there since I started flying in there, and the "usual" office person has been there for 10 or 12 years and has always been helpful. They may have had a sub if it was a weekend. Having spent quite a little time in Greenville over the years, I'm not sure where he hitchhiked to get 100LL, no one else in town sells it. I have seen them loan their personal cars in the past (they may not do that anymore as "the times, they are a changing.") But I can see where attitude could make the difference. If you're used to a big city where they kiss-your-@#% (and charge double to do it) and then you land in G-ville, you won't be happy. Greenville does have a taxi and there is a courtesy phone (but who needs one today). Food has always been vending machines, but they usually have a pot of coffee and a nice new pilots' lounge. If that's the worst place you've ever flown into, you're one lucky guy.
