My experience with Greyhound Nashville TN. Was by far the worst travel experience I've ever had. I was scheduled to leave Saturday 01/14/18 at 715pm traveling with my 3 year old son to Indianapolis IN to connect with Amtrak. At 730pm learned that the bus was cancelled due to no driver. I then waited in line for over an hour trying to find out information. At the counter was told to take the 1194 bus at 1030pm. After waiting another 3 hours. When I tried to board bus 1194 learned that I couldn't due to no available seats. I waited in line for over another hour. Keep in mind with my 3 year old. Only to learn then that greyhound didn't have anymore buses lining up with Amtrak scheduling until Monday at 715pm. I was put in position to have to get a hotel for 2 nights at 96$ per night & 40$ round trip cab fare. Monday now running low on funds. We went back to the bus station around 1pm to wait 7 hours for our bus. Once at the station was asked for my ticket in which I showed my e-ticket. I was then told that you weren't "allowed" to stay on Greyhound property until 2 hours before your departure time. I attempted to explain detail from previous Saturday & limited funds. Only to be told that I had to leave the building with my 3 year old son in the freezing cold, and was told that there was a homeless shelter few blocks away. At 46 yrs old & especially having my 3yr old son with me. It took all the wisdom & patience I've gained over the years to not literally snap. So after spending 488$ on my trip & another 280$ on 2 night hotel plus expenses for their error of not having a driver for my original trip. All u got was put out the building with my 3 year old son in the freezing cold for right at 6 hours. I will NEVER do business with Greyhound again & will share my experience on social media & every other opportunity I get.

I gave it 3 stars because it is 24 hours and they don't seem to mind how long you are in the station for. And this is on the scale of bus stations.. There is security. The bathroom were cleaner than most stations and so was the station. This sation is centered by the Lucas stadium. It is approved for a layover. There are vending machine and a consession stand. There are various TVs. There is a ticket booth open 24/7 so you can pick up your tickets via will call. The place is heated, but not warm in the winter, so if you are on a layover there make sure you layer up! The staff is as nice as they can be, (facetious), considering they deal with many discerning travelers. About this hub, the staff does not care about your destination...it's not their responsibility. If there is an altercation and if you are correct, and your destination is more important than proving someone wrong..be a pacifist and listen. They may give you the wrong directions and sort you. They may send you to a terminal that does not have a bus. PAY ATTENTION to the announcements. My experience was the people on my bus were given the run around for directions. I stood up for everyone who was obeying someone else. The blame fell on me. And we kept circling to the back of the line. Not that it matters. We made it safely. When you are boarding make sure you are getting on the correct bus. If you cannot tolerate the station. There is a restaurant down the street where you can drink coffee.

When bus is running late they should let passengers know. Arriving or departing. At least there were restrooms, warmth, and food & drink.

Waited 7 hours for the bus to show up, this was truly a horrible experience. I never want to ride a bus again because they didn't tell us it was running 3 hours behind untill 20 minutes after it was supposed to arrive. The staff at the station was kind and accommodating as they could be but the company is utter trash and they wouldn't let me file a complaint when I chatted them that day. They actually disconnected me and would not assist.

Minus 4 degrees outside and the terminal at Indianapolis not the one at the airport was colder than cold. Staff did nothing to keep customers informed on delays as I waited in line with a family member for them to get on a 10:25am bus, that didn't arrive till 10:50am, and then didn't board till 11:10am. There was not food venue for a warm beverage or snack, no heat, dirty environment and no communication between the staff and it's paying passengers. For the cost of the ticket, (almost $200), another time we'll fly, and spend a few dollars more, and avoid getting sick and wasting money on a service that didn't serve it's paying passengers.
