When I took my 2 kids here it had a list of all these activities one being the horses. We were there 2 nights 3 days and it was closed the whole time (whether was great too! T-shirt and shorts) we were never allowed to see them they were in the stables the whole time. 
The painting area to make pottery was advised by a very young teenager girl who overcharged and gave me The wrong change.  
Also, some other "guests" there were swimming in their clothes and not supervising their young children and the staff didn't do anything. 
Next time I'll pick a different water park.  I'd recommend everyone else does too.

Great building and cool atmosphere. Very nice staff. My group stayed up late in the lobby every night being a little loud and they were very accommodating of us and found us a place where we could enjoy ourselves without disturbing other guests rather than telling us all we had to go back to our rooms. We appreciated that.

Stayed here when the place went on fire! Before the fire I was very disappointed.  Water in the park was cold, not very clean.  Lifeguards look like they are on break when they should be watching the guests.  The restaurant was horrible.  People were waiting over 2 hours to be served many just walked out.  Then at 5am the fire alarm went off and when we saw flames shooting out the side of the building we knew our mini vacation was over.  We were there about 12 hours and had trouble getting a refund for the night we didn’t use.  I then insisted on a full refund which I was reluctantly given.  Also they are suppose to have a huge indoor theme park but it’s closed and that information isn’t given on there website before you go.  My advise keep looking for better accommodations.

As of February 2018 many internal services at the hotel are temporarily closed (pool, restaurants, etc.) for renovation. The rooms are clean and in good condition, wall thermostat for temp control. Well decorated with much open area. Friendly service at the counter. About five minutes from starved rock, ten minutes from buffalo rock. Cons: noisy hallways and loud neighbors may detract from overall quality of the stay.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. 27” Tube television in room. Water park is ok, more for little kids under 10. 2 big slides but doesn’t compare with any of the indoor water parks in Wisconsin. Water in rooms tastes and smells bad. Service was good. Fun activities for kids to do during our stay. Great big space in the main lobby with a huge fireplace, perfect for larger groups to gather, eat, talk, and play games. The arcade is awesome. Overall a good experience for our family of 7.
