My favorite groomer ever, and I've been to a lot of groomers in the area. 
The groomer genuinely cares about the animals that walk through the door. The first time I went, I was a little taken aback that she prioritized the animal over the person. The dogs are her clients. She wants to do the best by the dog, even if at times the owner doesn't like the answer. 
Over the years she's guided us through everything from fleas to skin issues. Grooming isn't just about a haircut, a good groomer often spots problems before an owner or a vet does.
If my dog could talk, she'd agree. She's not only cleaner when she leaves, but I think she's a little healthier too.

Don't ever bring your pet here! We brought our long haired cat in for a lion cut.  He was fine when we dropped him off.  When I picked him up I noticed something was wrong with his eye, all his whiskers shaved off and he seemed very lethargic.  We took him home and he would not eat and could barely stand up!  His eye became progressively worse by the minute.  We also asked her why did his eye look so weird and she said she didn't know anything about it.  
Days later and he became worse.  He wouldn't eat and his eye looked so strange.  We took him to an eye specialist who diagnosed him Horner's syndrome.  The specialist surmised that she must of damaged the nerve inside his ear.  It took months for our cat to get back to normal.
I would never recommend anyone taking their pet to this woman.  She has no right taking care of our beloved pets.

Valerie and her staff @ Groomingdales are wonderful.  Over the years we have taken many dogs to Groomingdales.  They are always beautiful, happy and beg to return the next week.  Groomingdales is without a doubt the best!
