Adorable, aesthetic, and appealing coffee spot in the Arts District! I love the burgeoning Arts District area, and one of my favorite little coffee shops to hit up when trying to find a study spot for the day is Groundwork Coffee. This location is one of my favorites of theirs, it's pretty spacious inside because it goes pretty far back and has nice comfy benches with cushions in the back of it. I also love the wood and brick aesthetics with the industrial ceiling. Very fitting for the feel of the Arts District, and I love it! They have great coffees and hot chocolates to choose from here, and also some pretty good brunch items that you can order during the day! The wifi is also really good, and the music not too loud, so it's a nice place to spend the day eating and studying or working on your laptop. That's what I'm doing right now, in fact! One of my favorite spots in the downtown/Arts District area! I'll be back regularly!

I enjoy trying out different coffee shops around LA, mostly for the food and the ambiance. It’s a very chill place, and I’d say it has a bit more seats than the other coffee shops I’ve been to which is a good thing. The fried egg sandwich I ordered is alright, nothing too special about it and a bit pricey but there’s nothing surprising about that. I also ordered a large hot chocolate. I’m glad that they offer different sizes for the hot beverages.

Even though this is a coffee shop, their coffee isn't good. They also offer a variety of tea which are nice tea. Their breakfast though is exceptional. I've had pretty much everything on their menu and everything was good! They have this amazing home made spicy sauce that goes well with pretty much everything. I tried their croissant and wasn't impressed; it was a bit chewy and not flaky as you'd expect in a croissant.

I'd recommend the americano it is very good with a rich taste and not bitter what's so ever. However the staff is not so bright and happy in the morning they gave me a weird look when walking in looking dapper and suited. The cash register lady was talking when she was supposed to be attending me and their is no greeting as "Good morning." But overall the music is good the seating is lovely and everyone else is happy and nice except the cashier lady. I give this place a 4/5 stars. Than You for reading.

More often than not, this is my morning go to for coffee. It's open earlier than most shops so I can get to work. Espresso drinks are great, they have a selection of non-dairy milks which is good for me because I generally prefer almond milk and there's a kitchen with with prepared grab-and-go things in a refrigerated Case by the register. Sometimes the kitchen can be a little bit on the slower side but it's never been an issue where I couldn't get to work. I've had the avocado toast and breakfast sandwich here. Both are terrific. From the case I usually get the yogurt parfait. It's really nice to be able to come here early in the morning and grab something on the way into work because the only other option is Starbucks yuck.
