The food is okay, and there are many choices, but it's definitely not worth what they charge. I've eaten here at least four times, but only got good service once. It always takes at least 30 minutes to get my food, even when I order an hour ahead of time online. Basically, I only go there because there aren't many choices in the area.

Urth Caffé is basically the Peruvian/healthy/organic version of Porto's up in Burbank. Same concept, same success, filled to the rim day after day at any point in the day, this place attracts as many locals as tourists that "dare" to venture in the less known industrial/arts district area of DTLA. Super wide selection of teas, coffees and hot drinks, they also carry some of the best pastry selection and highly crafted that I've discovered and enjoyed for the price (as a French person, I am usually always dissatisfied with any dessert options in the LA food scenery). Don't be fooled by their display of sweets though, they also carry quite a selection of healthy salads and sandwiches for a decent price considering how their success seems to only have increased in the last five years or so. You can order online to save some time, but you'll still be in line to retrieve your order once there. They cater too!

Their coffee is really nice and always fresh. Also have really nice desert and food options. Usually there is long line during lunch hours so I will advice went there after dinner for a dessert and coffee. Also restrooms were really clean

Waited over 40 minutes for a panini and an omelette on a weekday morning. I know their ingredients are fresh and organic. Food was good, but service was bad. Drinks came quick. I had to take my food to go. Never coming back.

Super cute! Cozy little escape from the rest of the neighborhood at night, even had a guard protecting the entrance which was a little spooky for a tourist. The earl gray cake was not good but the ambiance and fire were just so amazing that I could not possibly take away a star.
