We had a tent near the beach and play ground. Great location- perfect for seeing the kids, bike riding, swimming. It is a perfect campground for young kids. Loved that . The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom near the beach was not clean though. Big bummer. Picked up but outside of toilets, walls and floor were terribly dirty. Deep cleaning needed. They did fill toilet paper rolls and clean toilet bowl. Unfortunately that is a big deterrent for us.

WHAT a wonderful park. Large lot, super clean, very friendly. In my opinion it's one of the best camping area around, and we have been all over Michigan. Thanks for a great time.

First time there this weekend. we went camping for one night Saturday. We got there at 3pm and had to wait in line for over 40 min. when we finally got to the checkin, they said oh you have to pull in staging and come inside. So i asked why did i just sit in a line for 40 min if i have to come in anyway? and they couldn't give an answer. once inside they were more unorganized, couldn't find my reservation, then it took about 20 min for everything to get settled. The family next to us was having issues too. So the lady asked how many people on our site and i said 8 and she said oh its family only allowed on same site. i said no one told me that when i called and she said well thats the rules. but they were sold out of sites and i think with all the hassles, they just let us stay. had to pay $5 for another car. We finally got to our site by 5pm. We went down to the lake. the water slide (which you have to pay for to ride each time) closed at 530. then they closed sections of the lake too and by 8pm the whole lake was closed. They did have lots of events which was nice. but you have to pay to do almost anything. Then the best part - you do have to pay for showers. i didn't believe the other reviews but you do - 25¢ for every 5 minutes.... the beach didn't open till 10am the next day. Our site happened to be on the side next to the main road so we heard cars all night driving by (they do have plenty of nice sites). lots of rules of where people with pets can go, what fun you can have in the lake, etc... We wont be going back there. It wasn't terrible just not worth all that and money.

Great park! This park had great camp sites and a great selection of them. There is fishing, swimming, a water slide (extra cost), paddle boat and kayak rental.

Lovely park. Been coming here for years. Very open, nice size lots, Beautiful lake and friendly people. Can't beat it,
