My wife and I enjoyed it. Think it would be nice to have more historical maritime items from the area. Maybe a shrimp boat outside and or a tug boat to tour like they do at the airplane museums.

Spent hours there and would have stayed longer if I could. Allow lots of time, wonderful! Several interactive exhibits you can't miss

Pirates, sunken treasure, shipwrecks, storms, and ships! If these are up your alley, you need to check out this interactive museum. It is a little known gem on the waterfront of Mobile. It covers the history of shipping in the Gulf, from early settlement to the modern day. It has several exhibits of recovered shipwreck treasure. Interactive exhibits include robotic arms, remote controlled ships, and antique navigational aids. Fascinating exhibit on storms. Pilot the multi-million dollar commercial ship simulator. You have to see it before it gets too popular. Only downside is the strange parking situation due to its location on the waterfront.

An absolute must see in Mobile Alabama. Great interactive museum that is interested for the whole family. We saw 3 year old's to 70+ year old's enjoying the museum. There are many interactive exhibits covering five floors that will keep you entertained for hours. The name is a little deceptive. GulfQuest is not a typical, stuffy, or boring museum. GulfQuest is an interactive maritime museum that includes local history, weather, science, and high-tech exhibits.
