You should be ashamed of yourself defending such police misconduct.
What is MORE important than citizens following your "rules" is You understanding who you are working for. Police have lost track of who works for who.
If being reminded of this upsets you, you do not deserve to be a public servant. You have a serious attitude and misunderstand your role.

All that what appropriate for you to do is apologize to her and her family and reprimand the "officers".

I am a 64 year old elder. I hope you have the sense to listen.

Please right your ways. Bring some humanity back to law enforcement or you will be replaced. We the people are not going to take this much longer.
This behavior was criminal in the eyes of God.

Stand up and admit your faults.  Police used to be a respected profession.  More and more, public film is exposing the many faults and that perhaps a review of what a police officer is allowed to do is appropriate at this point in time.  Also, the public pays taxes to pay police salaries.  you can vote people out who will effect change.  Do so and make a change.  Get out and vote.

I apologize on the behalf of your shoddy community. Being in EMS for 13 years I understand that you had a duty to contact her parents.
People if you look at this video and think "That could have been my child!" Or "Its not the child's fault!" Well YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! This youth thinks they can spout off like that to police?!?! My teens would NEVER talk to an adult in a disrespectful manner, let alone have a mouth like this!!! Make this brat pay for her wrong doings! Teaching your youth that they can behave like little heathens isn't going to help them any in the long run!
You're lucky these cops had patience. I sure as hell wouldn't have!

The Hagerstown police are great, professional, respectful and absolutely wonderful people. Risking there lives to preserve justice for others. What would we do with out law enforcement?!?!?

Well trained, helpful and respectful. The incident last week of the young girl was well handled, despite the media only showing the last few seconds to stir the pot. Keep up the good work
