I have ordered two beautiful beds from Haiku. One order, I totally messed up and ordered the wrong wood accidentally. Haiku was super helpful and compassionate to my mistake and assisted me in getting the bed back to the manufacturer with the least cost to me. Their products are amazing and high quality, and their staff is attentive, easy to reach, and cares about your experience.

My experience with Haiku designs was great. I needed a new mattress but wanted something similar to the more traditional beds in Asia which are very firm. I bought some tatami mats from them to be used with only a thin futon on top. Half a year later I can say I am very pleased with the product. I have a natural, non-toxic bed which I did not have to spend nearly as much on as I would have when purchasing a typical high quality organic mattress. Sleeping on the firm surface has been great for my back and neck. Haiku designs had great customer service and provide quality products. I would recommend them to anyone.

I bought the queen-size latex mattress 11 years ago and it is by far the best mattress I have ever owned. I am an Airline Pilot and I can attest, that it is equal or better in sleep-quality to mattresses 4 and 5 star hotels use around the world. As a repeat customer I am now adding the organic sheets and comforter as well as one of their bed frames to replace an older frame form a different company I used to own. Way to go HAIKU Designs. Go Green!

Haiku Design is a well kept secret and a little off the beaten path but it is worth locating if you are the market for a specialty bed or mattress. Customer Service earned five stars for our experience and we got a bed that we had been looking for for some time. Very happy experience overall.

I am currently using two tatami mats with one queen-sized shiki (futon-type) mattress on top. I prefer sleeping close to the ground and this arrangement has worked wonderfully for me! I also prefer a fairly firm sleeping surface and my mattress has been holding up extremely well over time. It is beneficial to flip it every 3 months or so, top for bottom and side for side in my case, since the upper body portion will typically be under more weight.
