We do Paul Mitchell education together and often.
We also go and participate in hands on classes outside the salon to gain other types of hair knowledge to keep up on the latest and greatest trends.

Julie is great, she’s been my hair stylist for 8 years. She always does a great job on my hair, she answer all my questions that I have about my hair and she knows what goes well with my face shape , she does my haircuts and hair color. Julie always know what to do.

No; I was not asked to provide a review but I hope I may offer my opinion and by do so encourage every reader of this post to make an appointment. Over the past 20 years or so I have sat for hours in a salon chair having been promised an outcome and 90% of the time I paid hundreds for a look I never wanted. I am 48YO and I have always requested for my grays to be blended in with my new natural dark hair growth ...that same dark hair I have made “blond” too many times to count by too many stylist over the years or from a box I tried at home. Driving home feeling I didn’t get the look I was hoping for is depressing! I felt I was just not communicating well. My dark hair always had a golden and/or orangish tint, which I hated! Julie, the owner, whom I had only consulted with a few days before for about 5 minutes, is my dream stylist come true! I FINALLY HAVE THE COLOR I WANT! She listened! What’s even better than her hearing me? She has the knowledge on what products to use for my hair type and how to use them. The renewed energy i feel having my new look is what I needed after several stressful events and plus the holidays are upon us all. Who wouldn’t want to look good? I really hope you call them for your next hair appointment and please tell them I said hello. Yes, I would receive a discount if they know I sent you but please know I rather you you leave there happy than receiving g a discount! And if you forget to mention me, no worries! I will be back in 4 weeks to say hello in person! The atmosphere of the salon is filled with top 40 hits and there are several individual styling stations behind the waiting area wall. There was only one other customer during my noon to 3:45PM, duration transformation!by a shampoo, cut and style. I don’t care to be in a busy salon and hearing everyone’s conversations and gossip. The location is facing 51st, at the west end of the same building as Hideaway Pizza, which was new to me and I have taken my girl a thousand times to Playtime over the years. Julie, whom I had only consulted with a few days before for about 5 minutes was all my dreams come true! I FINALLY HAVE THE COLOR I WANT! She listened! Don’t allow the quickness of Julie’s hands fool you into thinking she is two steps ahead of your words. She just knows the business and I believe she has been doing hair for about 20 years. She has maybe three girls working along beside her and all seemed very kind and friendly. I can’t express my gratitude enough and the renewed energy I now have with my new look is what I needed after resent stressful events and the holidays upon us. I hope you call them for your next hair appointment and please tell them I said hello or I will in person in 4-6 weeks.

Loved my cut and highlights/lowlights. Julie was also super helpful in showing me what I should be doing to keep my hair looking great all day long (the battle of the frizz), and suggested products based on my ACTUAL hair type, instead of just curly vs straight hair. I'm definitely sticking with Paul Mitchell salons from now on.

If you want your hair cut well go to Hair FX. I have had my hair cut here since 2000 and wouldn't go anywhere else. The owners are great, they care about your hair and their staff and it shows.
