Was in and out in 2 1/2 hours with a traditional sew in. Also caught a day where price was half off so I was an extremely happy client. Thanks Chaz will return.

No stars or half a star wasn't possible. I wasn't even able to experience their work because my stylist Natalie canceled my afternoon appointment at 8:30 because she couldn't work past 10AM. She didn't give me another chance to book earlier etc. She just canceled less than 24 hours in advance when she has a cancellation policy for her clients. She said her daughter has a game, so she was taking the entire day off. If you don't wok Sunday's don't allow the schedule to book people. And if you made a mistake that's fine, contact me immediately. Not the day of! And not provide an alternate proposition or solution. That's just unprofessional and shows that you don't care. I'm a first time client that was refereed to you. How does that look? Pretty awful.

She's not as talented or experienced in hair styling as she claims. Sounds harsh but I'm being honest. I went to her on a limb and it was the most confusing process I've ever experienced trying to get my hair done. She wanted me to spend +300 dollars for new hair plus pay her for a sew in. I had $540 hair from Yummyhaircollection that I invested in for the sole purpose to reuse it. She basically said she couldn't do anything with my bundles "because they were cut", and she would have to charge me double to reuse them. I had never heard of something so stupid. My sister (who has been a licensed cosmetologist since 17) usually does my sew ins, but was unavailable so I though I'd go to Chaz. NEVER AGAIN. My sister can hook some hair up using 15 used cut tracks and she's never worked in a shop (she's an accountant). Some of these stylist are SCAMMERS and are very LAZY! I feel like what makes a great stylist is versatility, and being able to give your client the look they desire and just being able to make it work. Now my tracks weren't AS BAD AS SHE MADE THEM SEEM or I would have just ordered new bundles (High quality ones at that) it's just sad that some of these Cleveland stylist falsely advertise their talents and basically rob women of they're money! Smh

Stylist didn't put all 3 bundles in my hair. She steals hair, I spoke with owner and didn't get anywhere so I will go further with this. DON'T GO TO THIS GHETTO PLACE. First time I went and took my daughter ( there was almost a fight) and conversations not suitable for a child.They didn't even care that she was there. Disappointed that I had to give even 1 star.👎

    Wow! If I could give zero stars, I would.  I'm new to Cleveland and am very selective about where I have my hair done. I saw all the hype on social media about the hair groupie (Chaz) and decided to book since she was recommended to me. 
   Now her prices are high, $175 for a traditional sew-in. But being the skeptic I am, I chose to book on one of her special days and opted to pay $130 since I wasn't sure of her quality just yet. My appointment was at 3pm but I arrived at 2:40. My first clue should have been that a client who'd arrived before me (her 2:00pm) told Chaz that she didn't have time to get serviced because she had to be at work by 4:00. So I'm waiting, trying to give the benefit of the doubt, and I'm not asked to sit in the chair until 3:30 because clients are backed up. My hair isn't even touched until 3:50. 
    I have natural hair and decided to wash and blowout my hair at home for time sake. Skipping that part of the service should have saved me some time, but no. I was still there until 7:15. Though my experience at The Hair Groupie Studio was time consuming, I still enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and timeliness is not the reason for my 1 star review. My concern came about when I realized that I was not left enough leave out to achieve my desired style. I also don't think Chaz is very experienced with curly weave...I looked like Diana Ross when I left, and no the curl pattern wasn't too small. I had shown her a picture of my desired style and looked nothing like it when I left. 
    My BIGGEST concern was the quality of foundation and stitching for my sew in. My braids looked ridiculous with gaps and tracks were loose with hanging thread after ONLY 5 DAYS! (I'll post pictures too).  There were sizable gaps between my tracks also. 
Because I'm the admissions director for a prominent local beauty school, I am constantly surrounded by hairdressers.  It was at work that I was notified by 3 instructors of everything that was wrong with my hair.  They were so appalled that they immediately redid my entire sew-in including the braids and leave-out because "they couldn't let me leave looking like that."
     Afterwards, I contacted Chaz and was unable to reach her by phone so I left a voicemail detailing my displeasure and that I'd like a refund. I received a missed call from Chaz the following morning. I called her back several times until I noticed my calls going straight voicemail. Would she have shown better customer service, I may have had a different opinion but now I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth. If you do go see Chaz, don't say I didn't warn you. On a positive note, Ocky did an awesome job threading my eyebrows!
