At one point, I was so addicted to this store that I was going in every week. I have a beautiful fur and a couple of period pieces that I absolutely adore. I've also bought my daughter a vintage coat with fur trim. The folks are super helpful and nice. Highly recommend not just for period pieces but for non-special occasion attire.

I don't like to write reviews for places where I don't buy anything, but I made an exception this time. Halcyon really does go back to the good ol' days. The shopkeeper was attentive, but didn't follow you around. The clothes were high quality, but reasonably priced for what they were and, well, Richmond boutique prices. I couldn't find anything I wanted, though that's mainly due to my, uh, bust, being a tad smaller than what the dresses required. There's also this sad-eyed little dog that wanders around and brightens up the whole place. Overall, while it may not be for everyone, Halcyon is at least worth a check-in, just to look around, try on some period clothing, and pet a soft little dog.

I went into this store today and loved it. The sales staff all greeted me warmly. They were not pushy or rude in any way. I found some great clothes from the 1950s/1960s era. They have such a big selection of dresses and skirts. I also purchased some beautiful original scarves. Then, I saw their jewelry. Oh my goodness! Beautiful! All of their clothing and jewelry were very very reasonably priced, when compared to online stores and Etsy stores. I cannot wait to wear all of the gorgeous things that I got there!! Just FYI, they do have two little dogs that are in the store, but they are good. I had my 8 month old godson and they only sniffed him once and left him alone. I LOVE this store. I hate that I live out of town! Thanks again Ladies!!!!
