Books up to the ceiling, books for all, pink room books,  blue room books. Art work and nostalgia music as well as current.  Soft chairs for browsing. Local writers and poets encouraged and engaged.  Love it!  On a scenic downtown street and with other interstitial businesses.  Parking on street.

It's hot as hell in there!! But the employees are friendly and willing to help. There's a big selection of books and they have multiple copies for various prices. You can buy a book and grab some coffee across the street.  Overall its a nice little spot just wish they'd have air conditioning.

Forced To Turn The Final Page.
They've Been. Hacked. :( Greed an the Whittier Uptown Association Rears It's Ungly Head Again. Property Owners  near double the rent on Half of Books on the merchant tenants. These hard working paper historians doors close forever, sending them to Fullerton a perhaps friendlier town, It is repulsive to give no care to the volumes of patrons who will see an empty storefront and here no more the creek of the wood floors, the calm and safe place to shop to learn to live. May you and your staff
venture a new journey. Shame to those who sent you away, taking  real books and real people who enjoy them. "Reminds you of how old Whittier was and you will find your treasures." that is but a memory....

I always find what I'm looking for here!! And so cheap.. I love it. 
Only thing that would make it 5 stars is if it was not so hot in there! I wanted to spend more time searching for another book but I was so hot I had to leave.

LOVE  this place.....Favorite place for my books, videos and DVDs.  I am always able to find something in the clearance area also..  Great prices.
