Story

I grew up in a wonderful environment with great toys, beautiful gifts and a love for toys. When I was only 7 years old my parents opened The Wee Loft, which was located in uptown Whittier for close to 20 years but sadly closed the Whittier location in 1997.
Those years were my foundation for a love of toys and the knowledge of the importance of good toys for children. Ever since The Wee Loft closed I felt there was an empty space in the area that could not be filled by someone without the same passion for classic and educational toys. Once my husband and I started our own family we felt sad that there was no place in our area where we could get the same great toys for our own children. We decided to follow family tradition and to open The Wonder Emporium toy store and bring the same delight to our own children and the children of community once again! As parents, we want to give our children the best of the best! We’re a true independent toy store with a dedicated, knowledgeable, fun-loving staff that cares about our customers. What’s best for a happy and healthy childhood is our mission. We don’t have it all, but we do have the best! We offer great customer service and free gift wrapping and we feature the latest and greatest specialty toys that you won’t find everywhere else. We carry fun arts & craft and great books plus lots of fun things that you will remember from your childhood. The Wonder Emporium welcomes everyone to come in an experience a real toy store and to relive their childhood memories!
