The two young men that checked me out were very helpful. I thought the environment was nice. Usually when the environment is positive, that is a good indication of good management skills. I hope that this is the case to these young kids. It’s hard to get that kind of atmosphere these days. I go to so many stores where the employees should not be in customer service, and it seems as if managers are not training them to learn how to either. That is probably one of the reasons why the store was busy, seems to have a strong customer base and has been around for a while.

What exactly do they mean by Half Price Books? Exactly what is the Baseline price by which they are discounting 50%? There is a fairly good selection of fiction and nonfiction books. However, many of the books seem old and outdated. Others are from odd publishers and seem to be low-quality. On the bright side, if you can find a book you like, the price is probably a good one. Furthermore, the staff is nice. I suggested change the name of this place to "Books that Cost Less than Those at Barnes & Noble."

The Chesterfield, MO store is a fantastic place! The staff are very personable and knowledgeable about the store. Laura and her assistant managers are so helpful. I am a local authorities and have had two book signings there and enjoyed the helpfulness of the staff. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Like all half price book stores, they vary. This is a great place to go to though. While they might not have the exact book you're looking for, they'll point you in the direction of similar things. The staff at these stores are clearly love what they do and are itching to help you find your next page turner. I go to one of these around once a week and they are great. The store always has something different and the staff, now that they know me better, point me towards exactly what I need. I also look for something sci fi or fantasy and I always look for the deals at half price books.

A perfect store for bargain book hunters! Very spacious with lots of book category and choice. They also have some good collection on DVDs and Blurays. Very helpful staffs and a great location! What can you ask more?
