Extremely long wait times. Funds collected from extremely high tuition rates are not being allocated to providing decent health services because there was only one doctor available. Very disappointing.

DON'T COME HERE FOR STI SCREENING OR PREP. GO TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD INSTEAD. I came in for an STI screen, and like many of the reviewers here, was told I would have my visit covered as a student. I also needed a new PrEP prescription. When I saw the doctors they said they needed to do a liver screen before they could prescribe--but my last doctor had literally just done this a few months before. I tried to get them to contact my previous provider so I could just continue my prescription. They insisted on doing a liver screen. They also insisted on all the other STI screens as well. I told them I was waiting to hear back from getting on Apple Health insurance. They said billing wouldn't be an issue. Flash forward to a few months later. I was hit with over $500 in medical bills. Nothing was covered. I still don't have PrEP. I just went into Planned Parenthood, and not only did they help me resolve my insurance issue and write me a prescription for PrEP, they also informed me Washington State has programs that fund STI screens for uninsured patients. Hall Health could've referred me to this program and never charged me. I'm so angry. The fact is, they don't A), follow CDC PrEP recommendations, and B), help uninsured patients get low-cost/free STI screening. This is inexcusable for any clinic serving low-income women and LGBT students. But for a clinic at one of the top medical research universities in the country? A disgrace. Changes need to happen.

More often than not when I call the front desk of the Mental Health clinic, I end up waiting forever for someone to pick up the call. "We're busy helping other clients and will be with you as soon as possible. You may press 1 if you'd rather leave a message". For hours. I kid you not. Once I wanted to see how long it would take for me to get through to the front desk and it was literally hours that I sat with an earbud connected to my phone in my ear, doing work, while listening to the recording about them being busy helping other clients. I ended up leaving work and still no one picked up. From 1pm to 4:30pm. In fact, as I'm typing this, I'm on the phone. Listening to "we're busy helping other clients". It's been almost an hour. And no, I don't want to leave a message because I don't want to end up playing phone tag with the MH front desk. It's a game with no winners. Only phone recordings. Once you do get through, this place is decently helpful. Just vastly understaffed, apparently.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT DECENT CARE AND ACCURATE BILLING. I am a student from the UW and have had no choice but to go here at times of emergencies. Twice have I had the doctors poorly diagnose and treat serious conditions, and every single time I have had to visit their billing department over charges me, or takes my payment and then says I haven't paid. As a student you are "given" one free visit a quarter. That's a complete lie in order to get your money. This past quarter I went in for a checkup on my ankle and was told it would be free given that I am a student. All the doctor did was move my ankle side to side, they still charged me $300 even though they told me before the appointment it would be free. I had no Xrays, no treatments, NOTHING! I am on my last limb with hall health, They have threatened to send me to collections on payments that I had made! How can an organization be so unorganized!? Save yourself the headache and DON'T GO! If you enjoy terrible doctors who don't advocate for their patients, and being billed up the ying yang and having to fight with the billing department about bills you paid previously then go for it.

Hall Health recently billed me $400 for a travel consultation after telling me it was going to be completely free. Would not recommend, especially not for other broke college students.
