They wanted $650 for a " Heath department permit approval" 

I was replacing an existing deck, that was rotted and unsafe, with one the same size. This is not a building permit it is only permission permit from public Heath to apply for a permit with the building department. 

This $650 will be in addition to the over $2,000 I will have to spend at other King county government agencies like the building department. This will add greatly the cost of a project that is already a financial burden.
