Great service! My daughter was searching for Sherlock Holmes books for her summer reading, wonderful proprietors took the time to locate the volumes for us to purchase.  Had a great time exploring the stacks, we could stay for hours!

I'm not sure how they fit so many books in such a small space! Definitely an experience to shop there. The store is 90% books so it would be great for an avid reader or if looking for a unique book as a gift.

You have to love a place where you just walk in and one second later buy the graphic novel "Hammonds Antiques & Books" without having to search the racks for it. The best stuff is going to be on display here, and this is the right kind of bookshop for the right clientele. They have fabulous film and art books too.

the customer who said we would not sell him the book left out a very important point.... he was very angry and insulting...... and,   sorry ... the book was 6.50........ I would have sold him the book but he stormed off.  An unpleasant interaction which we never want to happen.

Hammond's is a beautiful bookstore, with towering shelves, many antique books, and a narrow staircase leading upstairs. Although the selection could be better, it's definitely worth a visit
