Absolutely amazing!!! From the minute I walked in the lady at the front desk made me feel so welcome. And I've got many massages from Hand & Stone in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and this was the greatest massage I've ever received!!!  My masseuse Claudia was excellent in every way!!!

Scheduling appointments is horrible.
I had wrong days appointment.
I had time appointments.
I about to pay another membership fee 
& haven't received a massage since the initial first visit. I glad they roll over. I'm a try another location if it's the same I'm a cancell my membership.

Everything went well up until the end. I Had a guy who provided me with with great services A+ for him. I did my paper at the end of my session which was good because I was 5 minutes late so the receptionist allowed me to fill it out later. When I turned handed her the clip board she asked if I needed anything to to give a tip. I was shocked! Ive never went to any place of business who provide services ask for a tip or even mention it, its tacky and tasteless.

I have visited several locations after having an extensive conversation with the front desk staff about my bad experiences she assured me things have changed. I had a facial that was more prep then face and changed the elevated pricing for bad service. If you want great services hand and stone is not it as they say you pay for what you get please stay away from the South Philly location especially they are horrible. Try an upscale spa that appreciates your business and not your membership

Don't even bother with this place. You'll waste your money. (The only good thing here is Peter the masseuse.) Had a 1pm appointment. Got there 10 of, filled out paperwork, and taken to the back for my facial. By the time I laid on the bed it was 1:13pm (I know because there's a digital clock on the counter of every room). The facial was mediocre, nothing special. She talks me into getting the detox treatment for an extra $20, I agreed. The facial finished at 1:55pm. That's not the hour facial that's advertised. Plus, if she finished that quick, what was the detoxing she added? She rubbed my arms for 5 minutes..... That total treatment was 42 minutes.
Then she walked me across the hall to my message. That started a little after 2, no big deal and he finished at 2:52! Wtf?! I also wanted a deep tissue, I got a swedish.  I get deep tissue all the time and that wasn't close.
I was warned about hand and stone before. I was told that corporate places run on tight schedules and my treatments would be cut short at my expense. Wait, I'm not finished!
My total cost came to $189! What?! I asked her why, she said because I asked for deep tissue and they charge $109/hr.... The hour I didn't get and a price I wasn't aware of when I booked the appointment. The girl I booked with told me it was all intro and because my massage therapist called out on me the last time, they would give me a complimentary upgrade to my treatment. This was all discussed over the phone when I booked.  They accommodated me with the price. But I'll never go back. 
You don't get the full time of treatment. I'll be damned if I pay $109/hr and didn't receive a deep tissue massage at all and it was cut short. Definitely continuing with private small business owners. I gave in this once... Never again.
