Prices  are very high for what you get. Did not enjoy this place for dinner. Oysters were good though...don't get the cauliflower tempura it was the worst I have ever tasted. Horrible. I complained about it to the waiter. He wanted me to keep the dish. I then asked for a manager and management was very nice to remove it off the check.

The Shrimp Po Boy is the best I’ve ever had. My friends love the oysters. Service is always friendly. Nice atmosphere.

I came here for the happy hour on Saturday. My friend had oysters on the half shell and I had a tostada and trout dip. The food was pretty good and the cocktails were amazing. I'm definitely planning on going back and tasting more!

I made a reservation for a business lunch at the capitol hill location at 1230pm on October 28, 2017 . I arrived before my guest and asked to be seated so that I could order for the two of us as we both had later commitments. The host initially agreed but a girl came up to him and said in his ear that I had to wait at the bar for my party. I told her as i told the host I had a time constraint and would be ordering straight away for the two of us so the table would be turned within one hour no matter what due to other commitments. She laughed and said u don't care that's our policy. Go to the bar and wait. When your guest arrives let us know. As the co-owner of 5 restaurants I was blown over by the attitude of this person. I told them both that this is not how you keep loyal clientele like myself. I used to bring clients to Hanks in Dupont because the food was decent and the staff was cordial enough. So as I sat at the bar and stared at the mostly empty restaurant I was reminded of the lessons I give to my teams. I always tell them that customers should never have to struggle to pay us money for our food. Then when I saw the same girl joking around with her co-worker and ignoring a lady at the front who clearly needed assistance, I decided enough was enough. I got on my phone and called a place around the corner on 7th street. I told them the circumstances of needing to order and the lady giggled and said come on over we will take care of you. Needs to say I walked 5 mins and was greeted by the hostess who quickly sat me in a restaurant that was packed with clientele. I ordered immediately and the waiter qas told by the hostess my tight schedule so he ordered it and the wine on the fly for us.  The meal.arrived right as my colleague did.  So we  had a lovely italian meal with my colleague and we both were able to make our later commitments. HANKS GETS A GIANT "F" FOR CUSTOMER SEVRVICE.  Very sad. But as luck would have it I found a new italian place right next to Eastern Market that will be my new go to place for client meetings on Capitol Hill. So thanks for helping with that Hanks.

Food was just okay... Oysters may be great but I would expect any seafood dish to be delicious especially for the price.  Crab cake, lobster, fish taco all disappointing.  Some food ordered never came out.  So yeah it was just okay.
