I was wrongly accused of stealing a reusable Hannaford shopping bag I purchased weeks before. A customer and cashier accused me publicly through words and actions.. Hannafords resolution was a $25 gift card. THEY put a monetary value on that HORRIBLE AND EMBARRASSING experience. I have already shopped there since the accusation because one customer and one cashier, to me, don't speak for the entire company. What does speak for the company is their resolution - $25 gift card. I didn't ask for anything but to give employees better training. I'm not sure I will go back.

Very friendly staff and a good selection of goods that are well organised. They have an onsite bakery and pharmacy, as well as a TD-Bank branch. They also have a salad bar with soup options, a hot food bar with fried goodies, an olive bar that is well kept, and fresh sushi made daily onsite. If you are from Boston and find yourself frustrated with "blue laws" you will be pleased to know Shop n' Save (as Hannaford will always be in my heart) has a full selection of beer, wine, and liquor from foreign, domestic, and craft sources.

Hannaford ain't too bad either they do pretty good with stuff I have various things that you're looking forward to other places will not and they do very wonderful as well

This is one of the few supermarkets that I actually enjoy visiting. I've been shopping there at least weekly for the past four years. The employees - from the store manager to the cashiers, department employees, and the baggers - are friendly, helpful, and overall have a very positive attitude. The food selection, quality, and pricing is very good. On the downside, the number of specialty vegan products is limited. If you're looking for lots of vegan brands, you're better off going to the health food store on Maine St. Because Hannafords is so popular with the locals, it can get very crowded inside. The parking lot can become a little chaotic - patience helps! But overall, this is one market I am happy to recommend.

They have a great selection and decent prices. Produce is fresh and the bakery is good as well. The Hannaford brand items are excellent and just as good as the name brand alternative.
