We were so happy to move from a "Shaw's town" to a "Hannaford town". Damariscotta Hannaford is everything you should expect from a large regional grocer: good produce, friendly customer service, predictable layout. The worst you can say is that it's always busy, but I guess that's a good sign.

A great place to go if you have the sudden need to buy fresh produce, top shelf booze, hamburger helper, two boxes of Depends disposable adult undergarments, a bag of twizzlers, some light bulbs and a box of tampons. Hannaford has it all...

Excellent service. Would like to suggest that any fresh cut packaged fruit or meat that may possibly leak be automatically put in an extra plastic bag before being bagged. Have found that the fruit containers do leak if tipped as well as the meat trays.
The Pharmacy Staff always goes above and beyond any expectations. Everyone in that department always is friendly and very knowledgeable. Always able to answer any questions I may have. It is greatly appreciated especially when I am not feeling well.
Thanks to all Hannaford employees.

I love this store. It's not the largest, but it's clean and friendly and well stocked.
