When they first opened, the food was either really great...or not. We dined here 2x this past month. Great food! Great service! Major improvement. Glad we gave it another chance.

First experience here with my family was not very good being that we are not white but the 2nd time ordered to go and lady at register was really nice. Food was really great. I believe if people here learn to except diversity than things will be better for them and their busines. Wish the best for them and this restaurant.

They were good.. but I couldn't really enjoy my "French Dip Sandwich" due to the amount of pepper on my sandwich. It was just too overwhelming. Next time I'll ask for no pepper. Other than that it was very tasty.

The food was great, classic home-cooked chicken fried stake! I absolutely loved the atmosphere even if it was a touch warm. But then it's late summer in Texas with Bay Windows it's hard to keep a place like that cold. The walls are covered in Canton pirate alumni and old trophies dating back to the 50s, not to mention the life size pirate statue guarding the door! The service was less that spectacular, however I feel that may have been due to the fact that there was only a waitresses on staff at the time (late Wednesday evening) and the place was more busy than expected. Shakes were tempting, but after my dinner I was too full to try it. Maybe next time!

Only one waitress working I ordered the chicken fried steak was labeled "Best in Texas" it was mediocre at best the gravy was to runny and the breading didn't stick to the steak. The mashed potatoes came out cold. The Mac and cheese was decent. Rolls came out burnt not sure why the waitress would look at them and still bring them to the table.
