High priced pups... Lots of designer(muts?) breeds... You would pay less going to a breeder and probably get a better quality puppy and a better warranty... The guy in the fish/amphibian/reptile dept is not very personable... I would even go as far as arrogant... The rest of the staff is usually helpful and polite... Most other products are average price... They do have a nice selection of fresh and salt water fish. Feeder crickets are better quality than most other places

They do not take care of their fish. I’ve had fish for years. I have gotten fish there before with no problems until last year. Two of their fish were disease carriers and wiped my entire tank. I have never had a problem until I got these fish.

Absolutely dreadful care of the animals. Dogs that couldn’t turn around in cages. Guinea pigs being housed with rabbits (bad because the rabbit can break the guinea pig’s back). There was a lionfish with fin-rot. Also, the reptiles seriously ticked me off. There were two baby iguanas in a tiny tank with improper lighting. Iguanas get 6-7 feet long, and they had them in maybe a 2 foot long tank at best? Horrible. Betta Fish were also housed in vases at the desk with NO filtration. These animals are being abused, and nobody is seeing it because hey, the animals are cute. And the cages they sell for small pets are insane! I don’t know how on Earth you could cram the poor thing in there. The prices are outrageous too. They had baby savannah monitors for $99. They retail for $20. Leopard geckos also had metabolic bone disease. This place is not worth your time. Shop anywhere else, or adopt. Please. Never has a place made me want to cry so much before.

Places still selling dogs like this are less than desirable. However, if you are looking for decent priced aquariums I recommend this place. Seems as though they have a pretty broad selection of tropical fish as well.  They have multiple sizes of crickets as well which is good if you have lizards on the smaller side. So, I guess, don't but dogs here but everything else works.

My name is Michelle Robertson I bought a Japenese Akita from Harbor Pets. The first Vet visit, my personal vet, we had problems with her knees. Requiring surgery to replace both knees, ridiculous right? Harbor pets offered to pay for surgery in full with "their" Vet, not full somewhere reputable. I decided to wait a while considering she was only a pup. Eventually she grew up and seemed to be good. My vet says eventually she will need surgery when she gets older. Well needless to say 2 1/2 years later before this precious dog turned 3 she ended up with a spinal injury that would end her life, because of genetics. These dogs are not PUREBRED nor are they healthy. I paid over $3000.00 for this puppymill pup. She was gorgeous and loved by her family. Do not buy from this place go to a reputable breeder or Adopt a pet from rescue shelters this place is a joke and should be ashamed of themselves. You add a member to your family and have to end there life well before it should. Terrible and heartbreaking for our family, and let's not say EXTREMELY costly over her short life.
