TLDR; Greedy and poor customer service. I've been a loyal customer for years, buying any replacement parts I need from the shop instead of over the internet from amazon etc. I've even paid for services when I felt I didn't have the required skill to perform a repair. Needing an inner-tube for my road bike, I opted to do the repair myself in order to save time and money. The salesperson I spoke to over the phone assured me they had one in stock for the specifications of my tire I had given over the phone. After picking up the tube and taking it home however, it seemed to be the incorrect size. I called the shop back and spoke to a gentleman who went through the specifications of my bike tire and tube, however did not verbally confirm whether or not I had purchased the correct one. It was pretty clear over the phone he was annoyed at the fact I hadn't taken my bike to the shop and instead attempted the repair myself, as he was intentionally vague over the phone about the replacement. At the end of the conversation I was still questioning whether or not I had purchased the correct item, and voiced my concern. The person I had spoken to verbatim gave me this response ; "Yep there's your free advice." ...and that was the end of the conversation. The part they had given me turned out to be the wrong one, but rather than bother with the shop again I'll be giving my business to a competitor for all my future purchases.

I have bought many bikes over the years and have always been satisfied. Super friendly and know their stuff!

I went in not expecting a lot. Rick was very helpful and informative. I had been to all the bike shops in town and this one is the best by far. All of the other shops did not have anything in stock that they said they did online, and when I asked the employees why that was they could not find an answer for me. But, at Harlan's they had plenty of quality and good priced bikes in stock. Great store.

Awesome inventory and staff! Would recommend for road bikers especially. Norco, Salsa, and Bianchi bikes to name a few.
