Story

The stories found within the walls of the world’s only Harley-Davidson Museum® range far beyond the successes and trials of the world’s most iconic motorcycle brand. The history of Harley is woven into the history of America. The freedom and ingenuity that have become hallmarks of America are embodied in the motorcycles that bear the Harley-Davidson name and in the tales of those who build and ride them. A walk through the Museum is a walk through the history of the United States. It’s an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.

With a 20-acre, park-like campus, an unrivaled collection of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles and memorabilia, and a calendar full of activities, parties and Bike Nights, the H-D Museum™ has become a top tourist draw in Milwaukee. It’s a destination that also attracts corporate events and meetings thanks to a unique background offered nowhere else. Fans from the world over descend on the Motorcycle Mecca at 6th & Canal to immerse themselves in a global brand with more than a century’s worth of heart-thumping adventure.

And no visit to the H-D Museum™ is complete without a stop at MOTOR® Bar & Restaurant for a taste from our menu of American classics and to The Shop for unique Harley-Davidson® apparel and archival reproductions found nowhere else. Plan your visit today at H-DMuseum.com.

Visited for the first time last month. The museum is an amazing facility, so clean, cool and well laid out. The staff is awesome, very knowledgeable and fun. I felt that our guided tour by Mitch was perfect. Mitch hit on the key points and some awesome history but at the same time didn't get boring by going into too much detail or talking about every single bike. Keep up the great work H-D. I recommend this museum to any motorcycle enthusiast whether you are a "Harley person" or not, there is so much history to be appreciated.

I don't even like motorcycles but I enjoyed the museum. It was cool to go through the different exhibits and read about Harley's history and see how they have changed their products over time. The archives collection is cool to sneak a peek of too. It's crazy how many motorcycles they have on display and different interactive aspects.

Fantastic museum for the Harley-Davidson fanatic, motorcycle fan and all others who love a historical story of American ingenuity, business and ambition. Beautiful displays showing the origin of the company filled with original photos and artifacts as well as over a hundred motorcycles on display from the 1st to the most recent. The staff we very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend one of the full tours or at least taking time to use the affordable audio tour. Also on site is a great restaurant, bars and store. Highway access and parking was easy and free. Motorcycles get priority parking! We worth the trip!

$20 for a motorcycle museum? Worth it? Hell Yeah! All the motorcycles are showcased in the chronological order. It took us 5 hours to visit every item on display. We took audio tour for additional $4 and it was very informative. Will you believe me that in 1903 Harley Davidson started from a 10x15 garage? Can you imagine American military used Harley-Davidson motorcycles in world wars? Do you know Harley-Davidson survived great depression, cars, and came back from jaws of bankruptcy? Like watching a documentary, i felt this museum tour was enjoyable.

Everything you ever wanted to know about HD is in this museum. There are many many bikes to see and some very odd (unique) and special privately owned bikes with the owners history. Great museum! Gift shop is small and has little to offer as far as I am concerned.
