I bought a pair of $150.00 shoes from Harrisons. I have plates a screws in one of my ankles and I told them this. They measured my feet and said that I don't wear wide shoes and they gave me a shoe size that didn't sound right. I trusted them. I wore my shoes one time. I am in school and I wore them from the parking lot to my class. Eight hours later I went back to my car. They had rubbed two sores underneath the ball of my ankle to where it took almost two weeks to heal. They would not take them back and as I was visibly upset about this, the person at the store stated he could manipulate them. I said okay and then he stated, "I need you to change your attitude first". I left. They would not exchange them because they were worn one day. I will NEVER go to this store again or recommend them to anyone. If you have skinny feet, this may be the store for you.

I visited Harrison Footwear yesterday, 7/20/14, with some trepidation as I had read the reviews and some of the 'dislikes' were very strong. But I maintained a neutral posture and went ahead, I was greeted by the owner (identified him from his website picture) very cordially. I told him I was looking at SAS shoes because nothing I tried on at Macy's or JCP were comfortable. He confirmed that SAS shoes were very comfortable so I tried on a pair after listening to his remarks. I can say they are the most comfortable shoes I have EVER worn! The pain I had in my arch (constantly) is gone; I'm calling these my "miracle shoes". As to the negative reviews I read, I can only say that I found the sales person to be extremely knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and informative. I personally suspect that these bad reviews were probably based on the writer's own lack of courteousness toward sales people. They should try adhering to the Golden Rule and treat people the way they would like to be treated. I've found (afer 75 years), you get what you give. I give Harrison Footwear my highest accolades.
