Beware! If you have Joe as your estimator for your shipment be ready to pay way more than quoted. Under-estimated pack out cost by 100%, we required double the boxes than he estimated. We were quoted $7200 (with insurance, highly recommended) but got called saying I $8493, making them the highest price I would have had. Also, delivery was COD but wanted payment immediately, completely against the agreement. Don't bother checking the box to be present for weigh in, they ignore it. I guess they needed to hide something in their process. They even called questioning why I wanted to be there when I signed on. Why offer it if you don't want you there?! Multiple times during pack out the packers stated "you are COD not military, we need to pack the boxes fuller". Management was allegedly aware of issues but failed to reach out to discuss or offer any remedies. What makes this worse... is I was considered "family" on the paperwork. If they do that to family member, god knows what they would do to a regular person. I can't speak to how well my stuff was moved yet but will provide another comment on that. Unfortunately you typically only need a mover once but do yourself a favor, choose another company!

Family was under quoted by 100%. They estimated approx. 60 boxes and it ended up being over 130 boxes. The result of this was a call saying they had to charge more than quoted by $1,200. Management didn't not even settle this issue...instead we ended up deal with the estimator. Being a "VIP Family" customer (their words) obviously doesn't mean much. Multiple times the Packers said "Oh yeah, this isn't a military move we need to pack these boxes fuller." Movers BEWARE and military moves especially stay away from this company. Very unprofessional. Will update on how our stuff looks coming off the truck.

Excellent and friendly service. Everything arrived quickly and without a scratch. The price was extremely fair also.

I'm only giving 1 star because 0 is not an option. I've had nothing but problems with this company. They messed up the date, threatened not to show up, failed to communicate information with me (but made it seem like it was my fault), then walked off the job when they found out a cat had lived in the house and claimed my home was unsanitary and unapproachable. Everyone i have spoken to has been rude and accusatory. Do NOT use Harrison's Moving and Storage.

My mother just recently moved to Maine from Virginia. However , while she was still here in VA, the "packers " must have chopped down the trees and made their own packing paper , because they used more paper than boxes!!!! I kid you not, they only packed the boxes half full and filled the rest of the box up with paper. My mother just literally unwrapped A BOX OF TOOTHPICKS that these " packers" used 2 sheets of paper on !!! Not only that , but my mother is on a limited income, when she used "other" boxes , this moving company decided that it was not good enough so they unpacked her box and used their boxes.. which they would charge her for ! plus she had a corner glass cabinet and "somehow"one of the legs came off!!! I highly suggest using this company if you want to be ripped off or have your aging parent(s) ripped off because they will charge you for boxes, paper, and God knows what else !!!!! Even the driver couldn't believe how half empty the boxes were and even he called this company and complained ... so did the mover who was loading the stuff onto the truck !!! Good luck people
